This #BlackHistoryMonth, we're honored to highlight our partnerships with organizations that advance the education and empowerment of the Black community.(Pic 1) In October 2022, we partnered with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Guide Right Program and the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees to host students for Boys in Aviation Day. This event shared career opportunities with students and included a tour of different areas such as our Network Operations Control (NOC), Tech Ops hangar, and Pilot training facilities.(Pic 2) Last April, we welcomed Texas Southern University (TSU) as a university partner in our Destination 225o program. TSU is the first historically Black College and University (HBCU) to join the program, which provides Pilot pathways for all. (Pic 3) We're proud to partner with HBCUs like TSU and Paul Quinn College to invest in workforce development programs that introduce students to diverse career opportunities in the aviation industry.These are just some ways we show our #SouthwestHeart to the communities we serve.
